Travel Buddies! Here’s to making your Indian Railway journey a seamless experience. The Indian Ministry of Railways has launched a brand new app called SwaRail! Imagine having all the Indian Railways' services neatly packed into one easy-to-use app! That's SwaRail! Unlike our traditional IRCTC app which primarily focuses on ticket bookings and PNR status checks, this "Super App" is designed to combine everything you need for train travel into a single platform - say goodbye to app clutter!
Why is it so handy?
Along with being single sign-on, it comes with the given features:
- Reserved & Unreserved Ticket Booking: Seamlessly book both reserved and unreserved train tickets with just a few taps.
- Platform Ticket Booking: Skip the queues by purchasing platform tickets online for easy drop-off or pick-up.
- PNR Status Tracking: Stay updated with real-time PNR status and track your train's journey on the go.
- Food Ordering Onboard: Order fresh, delicious meals directly from the app and enjoy them during your journey.
- Parcel & Freight Booking: Effortlessly book parcel and freight services for safe and timely delivery.
- Complaint Management: Raise and monitor complaints easily, ensuring quick resolution and a hassle-free experience.
SwaRail was developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and is currently in its beta testing phase, meaning users have the opportunity to provide feedback to help improve the app before its final release. Once tested, it will be downloadable by everyone from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
