Nothing OS 3.1 Update for (3a) Series

Nothing OS 3.1 presents the Essential Key functionality to operate within camera apps as its main feature when it becomes available for Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro globally.

As part of its update Nothing introduced camera enhancements while also improving Essential Space along with AOD animations. Below you can find the Nothing OS 3.1 changelog that provides additional information.

The Essential Key feature allows user capture of real-life media content through short button presses to create written notes alongside long press functions for speech recognition.

Camera Enhancements

Smart Collections Focused Search and Flip to Record will become available on Phone (3a) series phones through future software updates as stated by the brand.

You can find Nothing OS 3.1 manually in the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro by navigating to Settings > System > System Updates.

According to Nothing consumers who purchased the Phone (3a) series "must connect to the internet right away during the box-opening procedure to perform the OTA update for the current software version".
